Some of us are wondering if there would be a contradiction about Swami's statement of being here incarnated till 96 years old in case He chooses to leave His physical body's before.

That might be a subtle answer in "My Baba and I" preface's by the author J. Hislop:

"Three years ago I said to Baba that a new book was ready and asked Him if I should publish now or in ten years" (...) Baba answered immediately: "In ten years"(...) Last year, 1984, Baba told Dr. Sandweiss to publish my book, and he answered: "But Swami, You said that the book shouldn"t be released before ten years."

And Swami's answer was:

"The ten years are already gone!"

(since the book version we have here is in Portuguese please overlook any translation inaccuracies)

(The perception that some devotees are willing to let go of His physical form while others are praying with unwavering devotion for His speedy recovery, my case, could be a duality, if so may Swami grant me the bliss of His Oneness)

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba continues in the same clinical condition as He was in the morning. There is no significant change in His health condition. He continues to be in the same critical state of health.

He is still supported by ventilator and is on CRRT system of dialysis.

 

His blood pressure and heart rate have been stable for the last 12 hours and are supported by necessary drugs.

 

The panel of doctors treating Him is keeping a close watch on His health.

Everything is possible if you shall turn and receive from Me the treasure of faith. Everything is possible if you do not disturb your peace with taunting doubts…Everything is possible if you are patient with time. Everything is possible if you are able to gather the atmic strength from within and remain stationed in My will. My dear children of this Universe…you are in My womb and I am the only mother that you have had in your many lives. With My thousand eyes…My million hands and My unspoken silent love I protect you always…watching you rise and fall in My own presence within My own Self. I am everything to you even though you know it not. And there is nothing…nothing I cannot do for you…

Everything is possible if you are determined in your effort. Everything is possible if you choose Me over all else. For the children who have obeyed My word…for them fate itself moves and makes way for their determination.

I am your mother…your origin…your root…your love…and your life. Whatever is in Me instantly flows to you if you do not obstruct it with the fear that I am different from you. Whatever I do is to make you believe that I am born within you and the moment you shall turn to My word and utilize its truth everything My dear child shall become possible.

Everything I do is what I have already willed as a part of this play and whatever you shall do is by the strength of faith. You shall not ask the reason of My ways…you shall be determined to complete the task that I Myself guide you to do from within…Then everything is possible…

Even though I govern this Universe I Myself comply with all the rules of the game that you comply with. I do not take any short cuts in my task. In fact I bear the same obstacles of the body that you do. I have to or else I cannot show you the way you need to take to reach the brilliant light of the atma (soul). Even when these obstacles come My way I do not flinch…I do not weaken…I allow nature to take its own course…I allow you to do your duty while I remain immersed in a task that you cannot comprehend.

I can endure any pain of the body. What makes Me sad is when My children come in the way of My task by fighting with each other. That I cannot bear… Those who have remained in the dark… those who have denied My love for them…those who seek ambition and opportunity rather than wisdom and peace will always try to sabotage My work…but they can never be successful for My task for you is imprinted on stone…all you have to do is to show that you carry the strength and light of truth…You must remain silent and not entangle yourself either by word or action with such meddlers. Pay no attention to them and they too shall silence in their babbling of untruths. You do not need to defend Me…You need to be silent and portray My teachings through your silent wisdom and selfless deeds. As for Me I will always extend My hand to all…Whoever extends and holds My hand, to that one I give the gift of truth and pure love…Have faith that I am where I need to be and you have to be always by My side…in spirit…and in devotion…

Everything is possible…but you cannot weaken…You cannot know it all while the task is in motion and before it is complete. I know…I am there always…I am Myself doing what needs to be done…I am fully conscious of everything…I have not come to leave with My task incomplete…I am with you…But you must have faith and be with Me. At the right time all will be revealed. Until then bask in My blessings and realize that everything is possible…if you shall smile and say with all your strength, “I believe…I believe…I believe…”

Everything is possible My sweet little one if you are able to do with faith, wait in patience and live in love!

BABA'S MEDICAL CONDITION:

The series of daily medical bulletins issued by the Director, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Prasanthigram, has been giving the health status of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba from time to time. In spite of the best treatment given to Him, in consultation with leading doctors in India and abroad and also the teams of doctors deputed by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Bhagawan's health condition has deteriorated. The bulletins issued by the Director have been mentioning the names of prominent specialist doctors who had been called in for consultation from time to time and also the response of Baba's vital organs to the treatment. The information in the Director's bulletins is in accordance with medical ethics.

While the response of the vital organs have been varying - good on certain days, sluggish on other days - the improvement has been generally slow. During the last 24 hours, Bhagawan's health condition has deteriorated further, causing concern.

CERTAIN REPORTS IN THE MEDIA:

It is unfortunate that at a time when we are facing a grave crisis, there has been a series of calumnious reports by a couple of newspapers. Some news channels of electronic media are also indulging in sensational and totally false reporting. The reports contain absolutely false, unsubstantiated allegations imputing financial irregularities, defalcation of funds, commission of illegalities, violation of laws, denial of proper food and nutrition to Bhagawan Baba and wrongfully holding Him in confinement, etc. Sensational and mischievous headlines like "Baba Bandi", "Puttaparthi Lo Dongalu Padaru", "Jabbu Lo Baba, Dabbu Lo Shishya Pramukhulu", "Bangarum Paaya", "Devanahalli daggara pattukonna customs adhikarulu" etc., are being employed.

The above allegations are totally false, motivated and are made with sole objective of creating confusion in the minds of public and the devotees in particular, as well as defaming the trustees and the Secretary of the Trust, who are distinguished themselves in public life, and have been handpicked and appointed by Bhagawan Baba Himself. All these allegations are attempts to defame Bhagawan Baba and His institutions, which have been rendering yeomen service to humanity in an exemplary manner for several decades.

Suitable legal action will be initiated against the offenders of law at the appropriate time. All of us are preoccupied and deeply concerned that Bhagawan Baba's health should get back to normalcy. No other concern, no other thought is at present in the minds of the trustees and all the devotees at this point of time.

We strongly appeal to the general public not to be misled by such outrageous efforts but be firm in their resolve and faith in Bhagawan Baba and pray for His speedy recovery.

RESPONSE OF ADMIRERS AND DEVOTEES OF BHAGAWAN:

There has been a ground swell of prayers, bhajans, yagnas all over the world praying for Bhagawan's health. Mass processions comprising people of different faiths - Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians and all others - are being conducted in various parts of India and abroad. There has been a 48 hour continuous bhajan in Sri Damdama Saheb Gurudwara, New Delhi with participants from all faiths. Email messages are pouring in from all over the world praying for Bhagawan's speedy recovery.

The situation of Bhagawan Baba's health is very critical. All the organs are showing very poor response to the treatment.

 

Non-functioning of the liver and persistent episodes of low blood pressure are causing great worry to the doctors.

 

However, most of the other parameters have still been kept at nearly normal levels by the use of appropriate medicines.

 

The breathing is still dependent on the ventilator. And the process of slow hemodialysis has been started in the morning to assist the kidneys.

 

The doctors are putting their best efforts to improve His clinical condition.

Medical Bulletin released this morning at 0800 hrs. reads as follows:

Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba completes His 20th day of stay in this hospital. The vital parameters of His health are nearly normal.

He continues to be on assisted ventilation. He is also receiving CRRT system of dialysis. His liver functioning is as yet to recover fully.

He continues to be in a critical state of health and is being constantly watched by the panel of specialist doctors attending upon Him.

In the meanwhile, Puttaparthi was calm and serene in the previuos evening. Oblivious to malicious talk and unperturbed by vicious pens, Puttaparthi continued her Sadhana, in a calm vein. In temples and individual homes chants and bhajans rang out. The village geared up for akhanda bhajan and night-long vigil and hence there was no procession on the streets last evening; however, the inner procession continued nonstop as it should be. The world over the feeling should be thus: Where the mind is without I, and the heart full of Sai, into that heaven of freedom, Oh Lord let my soul awake!!!
